How can albendazole be used to treat cancer?

I've read about different medications being repurposed for cancer treatment and came across albendazole. Can you explain how albendazole might be used to treat cancer, and what types of cancer it is effective against?

Albendazole’s primary use is for treating neurocysticercosis, a disease in the nervous system caused by pork tapeworms. In addition, it is also effective in treating cystic hydatid disease in the peritoneum, lungs, and liver. It is highly effective in eliminating dog tapeworm, which causes the infection.

Recently, doctors have discovered albendazole’s MTA potential in treating cancer by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells and interfering with their metabolism which induced cell death. The drug also targets structures called microtubules in cancer cells, which are important for cell division. By disrupting these microtubules, Albendazole stops the cells from dividing properly, ultimately causing them to die. Studies have also shown it contains anti-cancer properties that are potentially effective in treating terminal cancer cases.
