Is alternative cancer care FDA approved?

I've been considering alternative cancer treatments and I'm concerned about their safety and effectiveness. Is alternative cancer care FDA approved, and what should I know about the regulations and standards for these treatments?

By and large, the FDA has not yet approved alternative cancer care treatments specifically to treat cancer. However, the FDA has granted accelerated approvals for some new drugs, dosing regimens, and formulations related to conventional cancer treatments like chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and immunotherapies.

However, these are not considered technically alternative treatments, but rather new applications of standard, evidence-based cancer therapies.

There are also many therapies, like restrictive diets, herbal supplements, and energy therapies, that do not require FDA approval.
