Prof. Dr. med. Karl R. Aigner is a surgical oncologist and Medical Director and Chief Physician at Medias Klinikum in Burghausen, Germany. A pioneer in regional chemotherapy (RCT), he has spent more than four decades developing and applying techniques designed to deliver high concentrations of chemotherapy directly to tumor-bearing organs or regions while limiting systemic exposure.
