Meet Prof. Dr. Frank Gansauge
Prof. Dr. Frank Gansauge
He completed his medical studies at the Universities of Tübingen and Cardiff (UK).
From 1992 to 1999, the Sindelfingen native served as an assistant physician in the Department of Surgery I at Ulm University Hospital, where he later led the day clinic and research laboratories as a senior physician for two years.
His area of expertise lies in surgical oncology, with a focus on chemotherapy and follow-up treatments.
Prof. Gansauge qualified as a professor in this field and has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Fred Stephens Award (1995) and the Merckle Research Prize (1999).
Over the course of his career, he has authored more than 160 scientific publications, contributed to numerous book chapters, and serves as both reviewer for leading scientific journals and co-editor of Langenbeck’s Archives of Surgery.
