Stage 3C Colorectal Cancer Survivor Beats 7% Odds
“Life Changed Dramatically Overnight”
At 36, Petri was living a high-performance life—managing a successful international career and traveling frequently. In the fall of 2021, that momentum came to a sudden halt. After a healthy summer, a week of persistent constipation led him to a doctor in Finland.
The diagnosis was rapid: Stage 3C Colorectal Cancer. The tumor had already pushed through the intestinal lining, placing Petri in a high-risk category.
“Life changed very fast,” Petri recalls. “When you’re in a hospital bed, you have time to think about the worst. I was lucky to have family and friends supporting me, but I knew I needed more than just support—I needed a strategy.”
Facing Treatment and the Unknown
Petri began immediate treatment in Finland’s public healthcare system, renowned for its cancer care.
“I did the mainline gold-standard treatment, radiation, chemo, and surgery,” he said. “Everything was very rapid.”
The experience was intense but manageable. “I was functional, I could still walk, work, and live fairly normally,” he explained.
Even so, the emotional toll was real.
“When you’re in the hospital bed, you have time to think about the worst…” Petri said. “I was lucky to have family and friends supporting me. That made all the difference.”
When “By-the-Book” Isn’t Enough
After completing chemo and surgery, follow-up scans brought new uncertainty.
“They told me, ‘Maybe we didn’t get all of it.’ I’d done everything by the book, but it wasn’t completely gone,” Petri said.
That moment pushed him to think beyond conventional medicine.
“When I looked at the statistics, it was pretty bleak, under 10% five-year survival for my case. That’s not what you want to hear. But I don’t think that’s the full reality of what the world can offer these days.”
Finding Guidance Through Heal Navigator
Petri engaged Heal Navigator to help him move beyond standard protocols. He was matched with an oncology nurse who provided the clinical depth and emotional empathy he had been missing.
“I was struck by the warmth and expertise of the nurse I spoke with,” he recalled. “She’d been through cancer personally and approached me with care and knowledge.”
Our nurse performed a rigorous supplement audit, cross-referencing his intake with his chemotherapy regimen to ensure biochemical synergy. With this guidance, Petri also implemented therapeutic fasting—24 hours of water fasting before and after each chemo session.
“It made a massive difference. My hair didn’t fall out. The nurses kept asking, ‘How are you doing this?’ Even with chemo, my immune system stayed strong and I barely caught a cold.”
Personalized Immunotherapy
By late 2023, when new scans showed renewed cancer activity, “That’s when I decided to go all out to look at immune therapy and clinical trials,” Petri said. “Heal Navigator connected me to an integrative cancer clinic called Immunocine.”
Immunocine is a facility specializing in Autologous Dendritic Cell Therapy. This protocol involves using the patient’s own tumor markers to “train” their immune cells to hunt and destroy cancer.
“Knowing the science was solid and that the FDA had already fast-tracked one of their lines gave me the confidence I needed,” Petri says.

“The Tumor Melted Away
The response to the immunotherapy was nothing short of transformative. Shortly after returning to Finland, Petri noticed a profound physical shift.
“I could feel the tumor melting away. The pain disappeared. The pressure was gone. By August, I was able to stop all pain medication.”
Follow-up PET/CT scans confirmed the clinical success: No evidence of active disease. The results were so remarkable that his Finnish oncologist suggested documenting Petri’s journey as a formal case study.
Over a year later, Petri remains cancer-free. “Every scan since has been clear. My bloodwork is excellent. No markers. I’m back to full health.”
Petri’s Advice to Other Patients
Today, Petri has returned to full health, traveling and thriving in his career. His journey offers three key takeaways for anyone facing a daunting diagnosis:
-
Don’t Settle for One Path: Conventional medicine is a foundation, but it isn’t always the ceiling. Explore integrative options early.
-
Audit Your Terrain: Use professional guidance to ensure your diet, supplements, and lifestyle are working with your treatment, not against it.
-
Stay Proactive: “There’s a lot happening out there, things are moving fast, and what was considered incurable a few years ago might not be anymore.”
Patients in situations like Petri’s often explore:
- Immune-based therapies (like dendritic cell therapy)
- Integrative clinics outside their home country
- Combining conventional treatment with metabolic and lifestyle support
But not every approach is right for every diagnosis.
That’s where guidance matters.
