Front desk staff recently more available : attentive (there have been many occasions where you are unacknowledged..) .. phone wait timed also improved in last round of calls. These issues have been a bug bear over time, trying to get through reception.. hoping these continue to remain improved.
I’ve been seeing Dr Poonam Chuni at NIIM and she has been nothing short of a delight to have on my health journey! She has been thorough, very knowledgeable and personable and has taken the time to understand my health in a holistic way. NIIM is a refreshing experience compared to the standard GP practices which so often treat only the symptom, but don’t even consider the root cause, let alone treat it! Everyone I have dealt with from dispensary to reception to doctors & nurses have been friendly and approachable and professional. Highly recommend the clinic and Dr Chuni!
I’ve been seeing Dr Chuni for the last year or so and she is AMAZING!! Was diagnosed with PCOS in October and with her help and natural approach, I’ve lost 14kg and reversed PCOS symptoms and mental health is so much better.Could not endorse her more, for the lifelong benefits and her keenness to find the root problem - I am forever grateful.ILY POONAM 🩷
Excellent clinic ! I am a fairly new patient at NIIM, seeing Dr Poonam who is so friendly and professional. She is very thorough and wants to get to the root cause of problems, super easy to talk to and non judgemental. Great reception staff and easy to access dispensary on the ground floor.
Dr Iggy Soosay is knowledgable, comprehensive, kind and caring in his approach. I am grateful to be able to access his services.
I’m torn on leaving this review. Firstly because I had a wonderful experience with Dr Sandra (4 stars), but your stance on not accepting cash has now lost me as a patient. Cash is legal tender. You are a clinic that is integrative and gives choice on treatments, yet ironically and hypocritically, you take the choice of payment away from people. Again, very disappointed and for this reason alone, I won’t return. Please state your reasons publicly for this decision.
Thank goodness this clinic exists! My appointments cost the same as my regular go who has half the knowledge! With Dr. Sandra, I had an hour in which she listened, advised and made suggestions based on what I wanted and needed, not on her own preconceived ideas. I'll never waste my time, money (or sanity) on a regular gp again. I finally have a diagnosis and an action plan.
Great clinic, went there with for health concerns that my gp was not at all helpful with. Professor Sali was amazing and incredibly caring. Highly recommend there IV treatments.
Seen Sandra parsons twice. A lot of money spent on appointments and tests. To have no answers. Told to buy way too many products as they “may help or could help”. Told to go home and read and read and read research and websites.Didn’t pay this amount of money to have homework. Felt like my symptoms were hardly listened too and I could hardly get a word in about myself just talking about research she has heard. Also told I was a helicopter mum as I mentioned having a hard week getting my daughter settled into kinder, and that has a negative impact on kids. Big assumption as she’s only met me twice. Left feeling scammed of so much money and no help no diagnosis no plan except buy more products and go see a gyno and see what their opinion is.Would never return. Very disheartened.
This is a review on the NIIM Clinic and Pricing (unsure if DR set or Clinic set). The prices at this clinic have risen significantly and the level of care has disappeared. This clinic is a shadow of its former self, no longer patient over profit, profit over patient.
Dr Justin Welsh treated my mum recently, he was so attentive and caring. Mums already experiencing benefits from his treatment and advice. Many thanks Dr Justin 🙏🏻
Terrible service. Booked an appointment for which they took a deposit. I canceled weeks ago and called them thrice for a refund . Practice manager us never around. Still waiting for my refund. Each time I have been on hold at least 5 to 10 minutes. Will never be back.
Professor Sali is an amazing physician. His integrity, the ability to treat my needs and to have me feeling better in no time is second to none. Thanks to all at the NIIMS clinic and the IV clinic, honestly feel younger and more energised with each infusion.
Just called to try and book an appointment and had the worst experience with the receptionist Paige. I've worked as a receptionist for years and so I know what the job is like. This was truly a terrible experience. She was completely unhelpful, rude and dismissive. I will be going to another clinic because of this. She's lost both mine and my mums business as she made no effort at all to book us an appointment. Worst customer service.
I usually don't review anything but in this case I had to say something. I saw Dr. Justin Welsh for cancer in early 2022. NIIM promotes itself as "Integrative Medicine" and Dr Welsh's "Special Interest" back then was listed on his NIIM page as "Integrative Cancer Care". He has changed that now and removed cancer care because he is not interested in treating cancer. He never was interested in treating cancer, other than pushing the mainstream narrative on patients so why he calls himself "Integrative" is because he wants to make an extra buck off sick people who come to him with high hopes and get nothing but a bill for hundreds of dollars for the measly 10 minutes he spends with you putting you down. Shame!Even though I have no cancer (it was operated out) Dr Welsh did not even want to listen to me, let alone talk to me like a human with ethics and morals, unless I went and did Chemo and Radiation! I wanted to find out what else he could offer to ensure the cancer stays away, instead of the mainstream, because a good friend died from Chemo (not the cancer). And he point blank refused to talk to me. Belittled me. Wouldn't listen to me and my reasons. Went so far as to make fun of me. So you tell me how this is integrative? I will never visit NIIM again or recommend them to anyone if this Guy who calls himself a doctor, is anything to go by. He saw me for about 10 minutes and had the audacity to charge me an exorbitant amount of money. I mean if you can't treat someone, let them walk away without charging them. I didn't go to him to be told off and belittled, and then pay hard earned money for it. What an absolute ripoff!!! Waste of time, waste of money and most importantly walked out frustrated and lacked peace for days to come because of this experience that I will not forget in a hurry.
It was my first time need to visit a GP in NIIM 1.Customer service officers very kind well communicate,2. the pathology nurse was lovely and very gentle and hygiene.3.Doctor Jonathan Upfal is brilliant organic Doctor full on professional. Also, not only a simple Gp, but also, Jonathan cares for his patient following until making sure the patient is feeling good.Thank you very much for services to all.I look forward to be sick to came back again 🤣
The NIIM clinic has developed the most appalling customer service. It takes you 5-10minutes to get through because they are understaffed. The reception staff you then deal with are rude and inexperienced. They have no regard for patients. Please remedy this problem as l no longer wish to deal with your clinic.
I will never see Chris Corcos again. If you disagree with his approach then he creates an uncomfortable energy & belittles you. (I saw him quite a few times as I thought it might settle.) Also seems a lot of the time disconnected to listening. Due to a job that often changes location I have seen a numerous amount of psych's and he is on the bottom of my list. The people on reception are very nice and friendly and always made me feel comfortable!
Dr Sandra Parsons sent me on a myriad of unneccessary tests and promoted their expensive products as if they the best. Not so! $700 for 2 visits. Found another local clinic-and were surprised about the uneccessary tests and poor diagnosis. Dont waste your money at the NIIM clinic! Got a better diagnosis and far cheaper.
What an amazing place we are so lucky in Melbourne to have this amazing charity; where doctors actually care for their patients instead of just writing medical scripts. Thank you for an amazing experience.
I am genuinely surprised. Whilst I am a fan of looking beyond just traditional medicine, I was initially skeptical. From a business point of view, this place is exceptionally well put together, great facade, great systems, great customer service - even the pricing is pretty fair! From a practitioner perspective, I saw Dr Jonathan Upfal. I simply cannot speak highly enough of this guy! This guy literally wrote the book on drugs (I mean literally, look it up!) so knows exactly what works where, with astounding precision. But, he doesn't just throw drugs at it and walk away. After the initial diagnosis, his exact words were "Ok, lets talk about Why". What came next was a flood of information I could only have wished for that will probably irrevocably change my life forever! If ever you thought that 'holistic medicine' isn't for you, think again. This is not some 'woo' 'Chef Pete Evans' stuff. This is quite real, using all the tools that are available to us as humans to get the best health outcome possible. I strongly recommend you see Jonathan! (Or presumably whoever else they have there that you like the look of). This is not your standard medical practice.
I was at the brink of having surgery to relieve pain from Sciatica, when i came across spinal decompression at NIIM. They reassured me of the process and its outcome and I've been pain free for over a year. I couldn't speak more highly of the team there and their ability to maintain a healthy mindset whilst living through chronic pain. Couldn't thank you all enough!
