Utopia wellness Reviews
My late wife arrived at Utopia as a stage 3 breast cancer patient. She "completed" Dr. Garcia's treatments within one year. Less than 60 days later she was rushed to hospital after having a seizure. MRI showed 19 lesions on brain and brain stem. Her diagnosis was stage 4 metastasis to the brain. She died 9 months later. Dr. Garcia's medical records and diagnostic reports showed no evidence of her cancer advancing.
Public Citizen, a nonprofit healthcare watchdog group in DC caught Dr. Garcia with 30 falsified published research reports on his website touting the efficacy of Cesium Chloride. My late wife was treated with Cesium Chloride. Why Garcia need to falsify those reports...to lure desperate patients like my late wife (and me) into spending nearly $50,000 for "treatments" and "healing the immune system."
On February 7, 2025, the Florida Board of Medicine voted to permanently revoke Dr. Garcia's medical license after a nearly 4 year long investigation. The Board of Medicine website has an audio recording of the hearing under "Past Meetings." Look for February 7, 2025. The case starts a little more than 14 minutes into the audio file.
I credit Dr. Garcia and Utopia Wellness with providing me with the care, education and tools that have allowed me to experience my 5th year in remission. Dr. Garcia is a direct, straightforward and compassionate physician who takes the health and wellness of his patients very seriously. His directness about the issues that I needed to address in addition to the medical care needed for my cancer helped me to seriously invest the Herculean effort needed to change my life. Living a healthy and stress free lifestyle are factors that lead to strong and effective immune system that have the ability to fight cancer and all other diseases. If you are ready for the truth and prepared to do the hard work necessary to improve your health and your life, I recommend Utopia Wellness highly. Good health is in your future if you do what you need to do for you. It won't be easy but it will be worth it!
Dr. Garcia has an extensive medical background which he applies using a holistic, individual approach, to treating and curing medical issue that are considered untreatable. A personal example is one of my family members had digestive issues since birth. Treatment started for my family member and it was discovered the problems with digestive system was due to misalignment of the spine, additionally there was a pork allergy. This issue was a life long problem only solved after receiving treatment under Dr. Garcia.
Utopia’s comprehensive healthcare program using protocols designed by Dr. Garcia provide maximum health benefits from IV Infusions, which I can personally say works.
Additionally, Utopia has an extensive staff of caring medical professionals that support Dr. Garcia in treatment of difficult cases ensuring individual attention and quality of care.
In conclusion Dr. Garcia has a gentle but firm beside manner, which is need by patients dealing with medical and life threatening issues.
Even though it is a health/wellness center it’s not treated like that. You might not get the answer your looking for but you get the answer you need.
As important as physical health is the mental is just as important for the health if not more and his perspective helped out with that.
From the very beginning, we had reservations about Dr. Garcia's approach. His demeanor was cold and distant, leaving us feeling unheard and uncomfortable. Despite these initial misgivings, we were determined to explore the treatments my boyfriend wanted.
Regrettably, our experience at Utopia Wellness Center was far from what we hoped for. Dr. Garcia insisted that cancer was solely caused by unresolved emotional trauma, placing blame on the patients, including Jose, which left us deeply disheartened.
The insensitivity and lack of empathy we encountered from Dr. Garcia were painful to endure. He often berated and belittled my boyfriend and other patients. One particular incident was when Jose had to remove his shirt to receive an IV treatment, and Dr. Garcia, instead of addressing our concerns, publicly criticized him. While we understood the request, it was the manner in which it was done that was unsettling.
As his girlfriend, I attended the center and Jose's treatments with him every day. I bore witness to Dr. Garcia and his methods, but I also bore witness to Jose's relationship with other patients. He made numerous friends and was loved by most. It breaks my heart to think that he left this Earth thinking that he was not as good a person as all his friends and family knew him to be.
Towards the end of Jose's battle, he was in severe pain. Dr. Garcia made a promise that he could return for treatment if the pain was under control. But when Jose entered hospice and relied on a morphine drip for relief, Dr. Garcia shockingly refused to treat him, accusing Jose of manipulation. It was a deeply distressing and disappointing experience for us.
I can't help but feel that Dr. Garcia took advantage of the vulnerability of patients like Jose who were desperately seeking hope and care in their darkest hours.
In Summary:
Utopia Wellness Center's approach, as led by Dr. Carlos Garcia, fell short of our expectations. The lack of compassion and understanding, as well as the blaming of patients, left us disheartened. I hope that our experience leads to improvements in their patient care and support during such trying times.
The statements you made about my son taking off his shirt and your comments about him were not only insensitive but also seemed to be an attempt to deflect from the legitimate concerns we had about his care. It is disheartening to believe that a medical professional would resort to such tactics when confronted with questions about their practices.
I am writing to bring to your attention a deeply troubling and distressing experience that my late son, had while under the care of Dr. Carlos Garcia at Utopia Wellness in Tampa, Florida. It is with a heavy heart that I share the details of our ordeal, in the hope that no other vulnerable patient and their family will have to endure such suffering in the future.
Our son was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer, and given that chemotherapy was not a viable option for his treatment, he sought holistic healing at Utopia Wellness under the care of Dr. Carlos Garcia. Over a period of approximately 5-6 weeks, our son faced egregious mistreatment at the hands of Dr. Garcia, which compounded the immense physical and emotional pain he was already experiencing due to his condition.
Dr. Garcia's conduct towards our son was nothing short of abusive. He subjected him to verbal insults and derogatory language, further exacerbating his suffering. Our son was in excruciating pain and desperately needed pain relief, yet Dr. Garcia repeatedly threatened to remove him from the program. Dr. Garcia's intimidation tactics and belittling of our son, calling him a manipulator, were deeply distressing and inappropriate for a healthcare professional.
Tragically, our beloved son passed away on May 24, 2023, and while we do not wish to place blame solely on Dr. Garcia for his death, we believe that Dr. Garcia's treatment of vulnerable patients like our son must be addressed to prevent future harm.
We are writing in hopes that the Florida Department of Health conduct a thorough investigation into the practices and conduct of Dr. Carlos Garcia at Utopia Wellness. Patients who seek his medical care are often in dire health and are in need of compassion and support, not mistreatment and humiliation. It is particularly concerning that Utopia Wellness charges significant fees for their services, while patients like my son are subjected to such inhumane treatment.
During one of the Wednesday meetings, our family personally witnessed how Dr. Garcia berated patients and even insinuated that their cancer was their fault. This behavior is not only unprofessional but also deeply unethical. Dr. Carlos Garcia should be held accountable for his actions, and I implore the Florida Department of Health to take appropriate steps to ensure the safety and well-being of his patients.
Dr. Carlos Garcia's treatment of vulnerable patients and the practices at Utopia Wellness. No family should have to endure the pain and suffering that our family went through, and I believe that such conduct by a medical professional should not be tolerated.
Carlos Garcia please find another career that has nothing to do with living beings!!!!!!!
I was initially introduced to Dr. Garcia about 2 years ago through a co-worker at a time when I was feeling weak and defeated both physically and mentally, completely frustrated with traditional treatment. Dr, Garcia along with his staff immediately changed the trajectory of my healing with an approach I will only describe as an unmatched level of personal care.
Along with an the abundance of experience and knowledge I was treated with exceptional professionalism and kindness at all times with the occasional and welcomed firmness of the gravity of my condition and understanding of what it would require for me to recover.....my pity party was quickly over. I was provided with everything I needed to begin and continue on my journey to good physical health but oddly and now more important to me, good mental health.
I am now and will be forever grateful to the team at Utopia and feel I have been blessed to have met Dr. Garcia. He supplied me with his personal cell phone during our first interaction and has cheerfully accepted calls from me at late, maybe even bordering on inappropriate times. That alone I believed was an interictal part of my process and again will be forever grateful.
If I could achieve this state, so can you.
The UTOPIA Cancer Center, under the guidance of Dr. Garcia, leaves no stone unturned in fostering your well-being and contentment. For the exceptional care and support provided, my family and I extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Garcia and his remarkable team.
I am Branka Zivkovich, and I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019. Initially, I harbored reservations regarding procedures like biopsy and surgery. However, my beliefs rested on the potential for a natural cancer remedy. It was fortuitous that I chose to place my recuperation in the hands of the UTOPIA Cancer Center, a decision that proved to be correct.
The span of eight weeks for my treatment started in August 2022, and transpired swiftly, facilitated by the profoundly intimate and familial ambience curated by Dr. Garcia and his dedicated team. Within these walls, one is not merely a patient, but an integral member of the Utopia family. The hallmarks of this establishment lie in the fusion of professionalism and geniality. The staff, ready to assist you in any capacity, including private matters, exhibit their assistance with a smile and professional demeanor.
I must underscore the qualities of professionalism, immediacy, and compassion in Dr. Garcia's manner of communication. Should any health-related apprehensions arise, one can readily reach out to the Center or personally contact Dr. Garcia. His responses are guaranteed within 24 hours, concluding each conversation with a sincere invitation: "Feel free to call me for an update on your well-being."
For the exceptional care and support provided, my family and I extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Garcia and his remarkable team.
If I could achieve this, so can you.

utopia several times and my last visit was absolutely astonishing. I was not going to write this review but I feel like I have to be honest. First of all I believe when someone who needs to heal from a sickness should also believe they deserve to heal that's a part of the process and my experience is mind-blowing as my last visit with Dr Garcia was a demeaning and scolding session that I left quite shocked. I've sent clients of my own their many times and I've heard diverse responses but when it comes to a lack of empathy for your patients I think you should choose a different career because it's a big part of it when people need to get well. I went to Dr Garcia several years back because I was ill and was told the infection was in my mouth I had partial treatment because at the time my husband had just had a heart attack and we weren't sure if he was going to be able to continue working and he is the sole breadwinner I was sent to a preferred dentist and at the time it was more than I could spend so I did what I could do and maintained my health as I am also certified a natural medicine. My last visit to Dr Garcia as I explain the situation to him looking at the bottom of his shoes facing me as they were propped up on his Ottoman he throws me the chart to look at how the bad teeth relate to organs in the body as he never went over it with me he just tossed it at me and then told me that I was obviously a trophy wife that now my husband has put aside and is no longer interested in and that I can go to the McDonald's of dentists if I choose to pretty much told me I was worthless to my husband which is so personal and none of his business if it had any validity anyway. I personally have had no one ever insult me on such a level ,but to come from someone who's supposed to promote healing for people I found this to be the most disgusting experience ever. Mark on the other hand and Sophie I find to be the most caring people there Mark is a class act and so is Sophie but Dr Garcia is an arrogant jerk and I can guarantee you as a native of Tampa I would never send anyone there again. You don't demean people when they are sick you should lift them up. I pray that maybe Dr Garcia reads some of these reviews and realizes this as sometimes it's good to change for the better. My heart goes out to anyone who is suffering from sickness. I on the other hand have recovered and I'm feeling great I took a different avenue. I believe love should lead the way not arrogance and pompous heartless behavior. Peace and love to everyone who may be suffering out there . I would recommend Hippocrates health institute in West Palm Beach it's a complete mind body soul experience and they teach you to love yourself and forgive yourself and think of yourself as someone who deserves to heal. My mother died of cancer at 43 years old when I was 17 and all I can think about is compassion and how to relieve suffering. Thank you Mark for offering a half off IV drip but I think I'm going to have to pass I appreciate your caring soul.✌️❤️mark and Sofie
We found him to be very heartless which is an understatement. He treats his patients like worthless humans. It was hard to watch how he treated our son. No respect, no dignity, just piece of garbage. .
So sad that someone with a medical degree can take advantage of vulnerable people and get away with it. Their office feels cold and uninviting. Staff has no knowledge about anything when asked questions, always refers you to someone else.
This can not be the representation of our medical field in our country.
Dr Gracia was spot on with Issues with Long Covid!
5 stars !
I wanted a comprehensive review of my overall health (early 60’s) and had blood work completed and consultations. Everyone was very knowledgeable and willing to talk about dift. options.
I had a series of colonics completed (real, massage oriented colonics) and followed advice and recommendations; took addtl. Vitamins and quit taking some others; detoxed some and cleaned up the diet. 6-7 weeks later and feel so much better.
If you are the type who is into vitamins and alternative health this place can complement your personal health plans and is affordable. The IV Therapies are a welcome option here in the Tampa area and they offer so much more. A lot of cancer care for many but healthy living options too. I began all this and didn’t really have any health issues, but really started to feel so much better after 3-4 weeks.
After I was done with all the colonics, having a clean, efficient large intestine, the health benefits are noticeable. Probably most surprised by being able to breathe much easier and this was my chief concern that made me want to evaluate my health to begin with.
A really nice new building also. I recommend this place!
Sincerely,
Russell B.
My Chronic Active epstien barr virus, which was my diagnosis given my high values from lab work, along with positive T cell activity.
My test results were poo poor by Garcia and after almost 3 weeks in of treatment, I find out not ONE of the staff you're seeing know ANYTHING about CAEBV, which it's fatal if not treated properly.
Spend your money if you wish.
I found a Dr who fully understands CAEBV and is working both medical western as well as natural.
If you want a Dr strictly holistic then I recommend lifeforms Dr Minick.
Best in the field according to the the hospital s I checked with.
I never saw Garcia again after initial appointment, no, hey how's things going?
Nothing!
I think there are more sheep being lead to juggler than being treated for an actual diagnosis given.
On the positive side.
Dr. Dan, the counselor there is fabulous!
I love h and wis I could work with him outside of this office.
Good grief, don't ask or be concerned you're not getting the right treatment, these ppl will scold you and tell you their life story and twist what you say into their own interpretation.
Do NO GO HERE!
I have to review Utopia. I interviewed with Dr. Garcia back in 2011 and was not in a position in my life where I wanted to hear what he had to say, or was able to spend the resources I did and did not have, and decided against using his clinic.
Fast forward to 2020 and my numbers were climbing and my fear was rising right along with them. I tried several other places – including one in Clearwater – that just didn’t fit very well. I felt “alone” and abandoned. Sure, they said they would “give” me a treatment plan, but only after 1000s upon 1000s of dollars in testing. When I asked questions, I was brushed off or told that’s the way it is. Even after the testing, I was left to figure everything out on my own…not a good feeling when you feel a bit lost. I even had to tell them the proper way to do their own procedure and they finally implemented the correct way after the equipment manufacturer told them they were doing it wrong and I was telling them the correct way to do it. But did I get refunded for the bad treatments that cost 1000s – no… It was simply my problem.
That’s when my wife got angry and said there has to be someplace better. She went surfing and came up with Utopia. The reviews were mixed but there seemed to be an underlying current to the negative reviews. It wasn’t that the program didn’t work … it all boiled down to not wanting to accept personal responsibility for their lives and wanting to blame someone else for negative outcomes. It’s hard to tell from a review what is an employee, or factual, or what is anger/fear. My wife and I had done enough research to understand that there is a VERY BIG emotional and mental component to cancer, which seemed to be the reason behind the negative reviews (a lack of wanting to face that component).
We decided to give it a try. Incredible. But the price seemed exorbitant to us at first, but when we started factoring in what IVs cost at other places, as well as equipment (such as Rife, HBOT, FIR Sauna etc), it seemed that it was actually in line with others’ charges. Now you throw in the very excellent massage/lymph/herbalist, mental/emotional therapy, guidebook (especially for beginners), colon therapy, and open access to the doctor (as much as you need) and all of a sudden you start to realize that maybe you’ve been paying way too much for the other places. But what really, REALLY got me was that I was feeling better and more hopeful than ever before. I “watched” people “graduate” and saw that there really could be healing in the alternative environment – something I hadn’t seen before.
I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Garcia and his staff. He may be gruff and seemingly a bit rough around the edges, but tell me how you would deal with a host of different personalities, in varying stages of DYING and the anger that comes with it and how you would treat them. With platitudes and niceties and all the other ways that got them to death’s door – or would you be blunt with them and treat them like they should be treated – as adults and not children. I appreciate the blunt truth even if it does “hurt” my feelings … for me, it’s about time someone was honest, and cared enough to put me on the path to healing… not sugar coat things while I lose precious time because they didn’t know how to deal with the mental/emotional aspect of our illnesses….
That’s why I give my wholehearted approval of Utopia … and decided to write this very rare review!
Called a half hour ago, Mark picked up the phone said come on in, we’ll help. Just from the people there when I came in and feeling when I got here, I’m coming back to get the full panel and see if he can help me with a few other issues I’d mostly given up on.
Am reading the reviews and just facepalming the couple of negative ones I’ve read. I’m in the industry (BHRT, etc) and the people writing them sound pretty ignorant if I’m being honest. If you want a bandaid, people, go see a cattle call md and they'll tell you what they were taught whenever they came out of Med school and you’ll go home with 6 scripts without addressing the underlying issues.
I’ll write another review after I come back again but seriously, every patient in here is happy as can be. There are 3 to my left and 4 to my right. I’d take pics, but that’s probably not HIPAA compliant😜
Run away from Utopia Wellness.
Let me just say I am very interested in holistic therapies to help heal my cancer and have a background in holistic nutrition as well. When I heard of Utopia Wellness myself and my family were very excited. I watched the testimonials and researched the facility. I then booked a consultation through Mark at the front desk. I also read the many negative reviews that centered on Dr.Garcia's character and on his malpractice that some former clients claim. We went anyways to form our own opinions. I am a skeptic at heart and would not be writing this review if I didn't truly believe that this place is bad news.
Almost 2 minutes into the consultation I was completely unimpressed by Dr.Garcia's "direct" and "tough love" approach. He recited his protocols as if he had for the 100th time, which I'm sure he has, but when you travel a distance to get information on a potentially lifesaving treatment it would be nice to be looked in the eye while listening to someone talk about it.
When I asked questions he shrugged at me. I had to lead the conversation when I felt like if I'm about to spend $35,000+ you could maybe take some interest in my and my family. He basically read word for word from his website. In the end he blamed my teeth & an issue with a female to why I have breast cancer on the left side.
Dr. Garcia is very rude, defensive, and unimpressive. He does not create an air of healing which is what I would expect. He took no time to share any part of the facility at all with us and just dumped us into Mark the receptionist's lap. Mark is amazing by the way. Thank you to Mark for showing true care and concern.
While I believe the therapies Dr.Garcia is offering will help someone with cancer, it would be much better received if you welcomed your potential new patients.
Also once you step into the office area from the waiting room it has a pretty terrible smell. Yikes.
so not being afraid of the future was my focus...
Doctor Garcia is extremely intuitive and to the point . The staff there is the most intelligent, kind , loving and joyful group of people! How they do their job every day astounds me. They address your mind, body , spirit all the time . Each one has so much to teach you about self healing... that is what this is ... a place to get the tools ( even a handbook) and hone your skills to heal and relax your body ... to become alkaline ... emotionally and physically... to clean out closets of painful things in the past that have not been resolved. Learning to be reasonable with yourself and choices you have made.
I would encourage anyone seeking help to call the clinic , speak w Doctor Garcia and begin your healing journey.... I am healthier now than I have ever been ... I now love my life and myself and now have the skills and tools I need to stay healthy and happy and strong! Katheryn
