At Stella Maris, we recognize the critical role of nutrition in recovery. Our kitchen staff meticulously prepares healthful, organic meals, always attentive to dietary needs and personal preferences.
Stella Maris Cost and Additional Expenses
3 weeks is usually advised, $4500-$5000 per week.
The price includes:
- Treatments, scans and lab work
- Organic meals and juices for breakfast and lunch daily are included.
The price does not include:
- Accommodation. Outpatient facility. Patients can stay in nearby hotels, a short walk away. Transportation is also available between the hotel and the clinic at no extra charge.
- Maintenance after treatment – A monthly vaccine, $250-$300 a month, for about 3 months
- It is advised to arrive at the clinic for a boost after 3-6 month for a week, with a 10% discounts of the weekly rate.

Meet Dr. Gilberto Alvarez, MD
Dr. Alvarez is the Founder and medical director at Stella Maris since 1993. His field experience includes working in conjunction with Dr. Ernesto Contreras from 1977-1981 and Medical Director at Manner Clinic 1982-1992. Graduate of the National Autonomous University in Mexico City.
- He participated in the work of Proteolytic Enzyme Therapy in Munich, Germany with Dr. Karl Ronsberger, 1991.
- Member of the International Clinical Hyperthermia Society (ICHS) in Florence, Italy since 2005.
- Certified in RIGVIR Therapy, Riga, Latvia, October 2017.
Dr. Alvarez is a highly qualified physician; he passed the US medical boards, which makes him qualified to practice medicine in the United States. As a medical director, he is not a distant figure locked in an office; he is your attending physician. You are under his care every day of your stay.

I went to Dr. Gilberto Alvarez in Tijuana Mexico on three occasions. The positive results were extremely limited. After leaving my PSA test result continued to rise. I , therefore, sought the help of University Of Michigan Urology. They saved my life. I do not recommend the clinics and Dr. Alvarez other then wasting money and time. And hope. DO NOT USE STELLA MARRIS CLINIC. IT IS A SCAM.
I got heavy metal toxicity from a titanium dental implant, which triggered autoimmune. Plus I had an ongoing headache for days. Before arriving at the clinic, I was in pain and disoriented, my uber dropped me off on a corner and I got lost from there. I sent the doctor a picture text of my location and this amazing heaven sent Dr. Alvarez located me at an intersection and guided me to the clinic where I underwent chelation and ozone therapy. I was also treated for my ongoing headache and before I left, my headache was gone. I felt amazing and restored energy. I'm looking forward to returning to the clinic for additional treatment to continue my health improvement.
The clinic was beautiful and absolutely spotless. Prior to choosing Stella Maris for my treatment I’d read about in the book, “Hoping for a Cure”, and liked what the author said about Dr. Alvarez and his expertise, wealth of knowledge and impressive credentials.
I was very happy with my experience at Stella Maris. Dr. Alvarez was very hands on and always available to answer my questions and discuss my treatments. He was also very kind and compassionate. When I had an upset stomach one day, he canceled my shuttle and drove me back to my hotel himself. He also called me that evening to make sure I was ok.
His nurse, Ophelia, was also very good at her job, as well as funny and kind. The cook made us healthy but tasty meals and had us drinking green juices every day.
I felt great when I left the clinic, and the maintenance program set out by Dr. Alvarez, reassured me that even though I was leaving my healing would continue when I got home.
Improvement:
Left breast was very hard, following two lumpectomies. Margins were still not clear after second surgery.There was also a lump in it. After two weeks of treatment it was soft again and lump disappeared. This to me was visible evidence that the treatments were working.
Such a great healing enviornment. Dr. Alvarez and his staff are very caring and professional people. The alternative treatments that they offer are some of the best around. The food is great and they are in contact with you during the whole trip to make sure that you get settled in ok. My psa has dropped below 0 and i feel better than i have felt in years. Thanks to Dr. Alvarez and his great staff.
